Meet Jen


My Story

I am a 26 year old proud wife to a man who actively serves our country, a dog mom, a woman of faith, passionate about volunteering, fitness, eating clean, and living a happy, purpose filled life. 


My fitness journey began when I was quite young.  I grew up playing competitive sports and I continued to play sports recreationally in college.  When I graduated, I moved away from home, started a new job, didn’t have time to cook or keep up with my fitness so I turned to quick fixes for eating.  I was in a job I hated, a city I wasn’t happy in, and I had moved away from my family and friends.  More than anything, I lacked passion because I missed playing sports being around my support system and others who motivated and pushed me.  Later that year I went off to visit my sister as she studied abroad in Ireland, on the flight home I remember looking at pictures from the trip and being disgusted at how I looked and the weight I gained. 

“At that moment I promised myself that I was going to do something about this and change my lifestyle.  I am better than this and I deserve better.”

I first set out to find a new job.  I landed an awesome opportunity and I ended up having to relocate to Florida!  After relocating, I joined a gym and signed up for a Spartan Race.  I told myself I had to set my eyes on a goal to lose some of the weight I gained.  Eating was still a struggle but I slowly started to eat healthier, although it was tough because I was on the road a lot.  At the Spartan Race I finished in the top 20 for women in my age bracket and ended up meeting my husband while running the race! That next year he proposed at that same race at the finish line.  



Both my husband and I shared the same passion for fitness and we both wanted to also tackle our nutrition.  We set out to hire a nutrition coach. He charged one of us $300 a month to write meal plans and for bi-weekly check ins.  I thought this was INSANE!  Who can afford this every month?  The meals were so bland…is this really what clean eating tastes like?  Ew! There has to be another solution. 



My Transformation


After confiding in my sister about my finding a fitness routine that kept my interest, an easy yet tasteful clean eating meal plan, and a community to support me, she introduced me to the 21 Day Fix Extreme and to join her challenge group.  I was ALL in! 


I lost 10lbs, gained lean muscle, developed healthy eating habits, and felt like the most beautiful bride for my wedding day!  My transformation has not only been physical but it has been so much more than that.   Being part of the challenge group changed my life.  I was part of a community of other individuals who spread positivity and encouraged me every day to be a better person and to work hard toward my health and fitness goals.  I LOVED my workouts and I couldn't wait to share them with my other challengers, my shakes gave me more energy, and the meal planning was super easy and stress free.  Today, I continue to work out daily, meal plan and prep, and drink my shakes every day.  I feel amazing and it truly shines from my inside out!  I have finally found my "team" that I was missing and I couldn’t imagine life without these programs or these people.
